Could this be a reference to Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services, the leasing outfit? They could possibly find good homes for 40 737’s. are discarding their A320s and have bought 40 x 737s. We know why the man was ABLE to initially buy the A320s from Europe, but surely it is not economical to discard after all the recent training and changeover from B727s. Husband (ex tech. crew) would like to know if rumour is correct.
I’d be very interested to hear more on that myself, I think it would be most unlikely
